Nicci Kavals has a design sensibility and talent acquired from a life dedicated to her craft. In the inception of her career as both chef and food stylist, and then Melbourne Editor of Vogue Entertaining & Travel magazine, Nicci learnt the art of reduction and visual seduction, tantalising one’s sense of sight and taste. This naturally evolved to design objects to elevate and compliment the culinary arts before expanding her repertoire with objects of sculptural and poetic beauty to enhance any interior environment.
Kavals’ practice fuses art with sophisticated engineering, favouring natural and machined materials of the highest quality imprinted with the soulful poeticism of the unique imprint of the craftspeople in the finished product. Every product is honed until a refined simplicity emerges and modernity aligns with an enduring appeal.
