OUR NEW YORK ARTISANAL LIGHTING SHOWROOM
Articolo is excited to offer our North American customers the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Articolo at our New York showroom. Located in the Townsend Building, 1123 Broadway, our New York City showroom provides the opportunity to explore every aspect of the Articolo aesthetic and values. All current collections are showcased alongside an array of finishes and mouth-blown glass options, allowing for a complete and bespoke design consultation process.
EXEMPLIFYING OUR ARCHITECTURAL APPROACH TO LIGHTING
Our New York Showroom is a living embodiment of the Articolo ethos. Designed by long-time collaborator Studio Goss, the space itself expresses our commitment to artisanship and materiality, drawing inspiration from our passion for the art of light and the luxurious pairing of diverse and divergent artisanal materials.
Common motifs from the Articolo collection are referenced in the design of the space, capturing the gentle curve of hand-worked metals and glass in the arched walls and the soft lustre of bronze in the metallic wall insertions. The monochromatic backdrop and chalky limewash finish walls evoke the softness and organic feel of the smoked and frosted glass used in many of our pieces, while emphasising the shadow play of the lights on display. The space also pays homage to some of our design house’s most notable inspirations, including American artist Donald Judd.
STEP BEYOND THE DECORATIVE AND INTO THE SCULPTURAL WITH ARTICOLO LIGHTING
Core to the Articolo spirit is the creation of pieces that are not static, but are instead additions that interact with and enhance a space. The use of mouth-blown glass imbues each piece with soul unlike any other, resulting in a shadow play of light that is entirely unique to that piece, that space and that moment in time. More than simply decorative, our designer lighting helps customers create a welcoming, nourishing space, cocooned from the outside world.
