Composed Minimalism

House of Svabø, Furulund, Oslo stands testament to Skapa Architects’ meticulous attention to detail. The warm, sweeping entrance paired with Articolo Studio’s Fizi Wall Sconces conjure a gentle and welcoming ambience.

House of Svabø embodies the Norwegian and Australian owners’ dual heritage. A home which delicately balances the composed minimalism of Scandinavian design with the organic, flowing forms reminiscent of Australia’s iconic coastal landscapes.

The layered materiality of travertine, oak and cedar wood is complemented by a composition of natural buff colours which enhances the architectures sweeping curves and enriches the home within its surrounds.

Articolo Studios Fizi Ball Single Wall Sconce and Fizi Slab Wall Sconce creates a warm lighting scape with a beautiful shadow play cast by the effervescent effect of the Fizi glass. This jewellery-like effect buttresses the minimal warmth throughout the home where heritage and modernity coexist harmoniously.

‘In every detail, from the material palette to the carefully selected Articolo lighting, House of Svabø is a project where architectural restraint meets personal expression, creating a space that is as warm and inviting as it is sophisticated and serene.’
