Each Articolo Studios piece is the result of many skilled hands working in tandem. From the famed glassblowers of Murano to Australian metalworkers and Italian jewellers, our lights are only possible with the work of artisans from around the globe. Eschewing impersonal mass manufacturing techniques means that each piece is truly unique, throwing its own one-of-a-kind pattern and participating in the shadow play of light in a way unlike any other.
The choice to use a global network of artisans was deliberate – it imbues each piece with its own soul and its own identity. Each subtle detail – from the minute bubbles in the mouth-blown glass to the subtle variations in colour on a fine brass fixture – exists for a reason. These small marks symbolise the labour that goes into each of the products in our architectural lighting collection, acting as a living document of the light’s creation.

The use of luxurious paired materials like linished brass, marble, linen, waxed cotton and Japanese porcelain creates an effect more suited to artwork than purely functional lighting.
